Celebrating Emirati Women's Day

Have you taken the time to reflect upon the unbelievable women in the UAE that have paved the way and continue to pave away? Today, August 28, is Emirati Women’s Day, a true reminder for us all to reflect on the impact of women in our lives.  Today, we recognize mothers, sisters, teachers, leaders and innovators who make up the very essence of our nation.

Emirati women have always been the bedrock for not only the development of society but also with any traditions passed down from our ancestors. Women have always been at the forefront, from our mothers and grandmothers preserving traditions, to women now being number one in every field imaginable. Today isn't just about recognizing what women have done. It is about recognizing the importance of more women in our lives, even while they are alive today.

In the UAE, women are not participants, but leaders in supporting the vision of our country with their perspectives, talent, and vision. Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, "Mother of the Nation," emphasized this when she said: "The woman is half of society, and any country that aspires to development, cannot leave her in poverty and cannot deny her rights."

Let’s all take a moment today and acknowledge the remarkable Emirati women in our lives and beyond. Their stories are a testament to what diligence can achieve, inspiring us to strive for excellence in all that we do.
